Word Bingo

A PDF document printable with a word recognition game in a dyslexia friendly font.

Each playsheet has a selection of words from the story in random order – with 5 words blanked out. The calling sheet has 3 sets of all the words from the story in different orders, starting at any number read/call-out all the words in one set and check them off on the playsheet. The first one to check all the non-blank words is the winner. (In the UK in a similar game using numbers we shout ‘bingo’ or ‘house’ when we complete the sheet.) There are 50 different playsheets and 3 sets of random words on the calling sheet.

Word Search

These are printable classic word search puzzles to solve using words from the books. They are PDF books in an easy to read (dyslexia friendly) font. Search for the words in a 15 x 15 letter grid.

There are 3 types of puzzle grids for different ability levels – choose the grid complexity suitable for your child/ children/ class.

Word Search Puzzle Books
1 & 4

The most difficult grid type. The words in the grid appear in any direction. Left to right, right to left, top to bottom, bottom to top and diagonally.

2 & 5

The middle complexity grid type. The words in the grid are horizontal or vertical and can be left to right, right to left, top to bottom, or bottom to top. There are no diagonal words.
